The resort at Banana Beach, halfway between Hibberdene and Port Shepstone, is now under new management. There are 100 large fairly level stands (most well grassed), all with 15amp power points. 70% of them are shaded by beautiful trees. No stand is more than 60 meters from the high water mark. There are 4 locked gates leading directly onto a shark-net protected beach with lifeguards during holidays and weekends. Visitors are provided with a key to the gate nearest their site. There is tidal pool on the rocks and pool in the resort Scuba diving can be arranged nearby. There are clean ablution facilities, with a scullery and laundry with ironing facilities. Security is good with 24 hour guards on duty. Walk out of the park right onto the famous Banana Beach. (10-Aug-11).
