Mtwalume is a small village situated on the South Coast of Natal approximately 80km south of Durban. It is mainly a holiday pleasure and fishing village. The Mtwalume Holiday Resort offers neat grassy stands for caravans, motor homes and tents, as well as self-catering chalets for more luxurious overnighting. The park also has its own pub, restaurant and swimming pool. The beach is only 350 meters away and is especially suited to those with young families, forming rock pools, tidal pools and with picnic spots overlooking the ocean. The main feature is the Mtwalume River that forms a beautiful lagoon where it enters the sea.
