“Levubu is a village 39 km East of Makhado. It is named after the Luvuvhu (or Levubu) River which means 'The Tree' in Venda/Tsonga. This refers the numerous River Bushwillows (Combretum erythophyllum) that grow along its banks.” - Chris Smit, 2024/08/08
