Situated in the Northwest part of Uganda, Arua is the largest town in the Arua district covering an area of 7830km2, with a population of approximately 53000. The town has its own airport and is close to DRC a distance of 10km & about 1hour from Southern Sudan. The town is dominated by the Lugbara tribe with different dialects dialects of Vurra who come from Vurra County, Ayivu - Ayivu County, Madi - Madi-Okollo County. The economy is mainly based on cross border trading, tobacco growing and West Nile distillers. Various accommodation options and restaurants, banks and ATMs are available for visitors comfort. For business travellers a range of internet cafés are scattered throughout the town.
