Ponta Morrungulo run by James and Barbara Nelson is a well-established resort set right on the beach and amongst a huge grove of coconut trees it provides camping and self catering chalet facilities - step straight onto a beautiful wide sandy clean beach. Morrungulo resort caters for families, individuals, deep sea and surf fishermen, scuba divers and snorkelers. The camp rests under swaying coconut palms on the shores of the tropical Indian Ocean. It has extensive green lawns throughout the camp, shady indigenous trees, fresh drinking water and good security. It is at the end of a 13 km sand road for which 4 x 4 is recommended but not essential. Morrungulo is considered by many as the most picturesque area on the mainland. (Updated Mar-15).
