Directions

Rooisand-Desert Ranch - located rather precisely on half the way between Windhoek and Walvis Bay at the Atlantic-coast. The distance to Rooisand from Windhoek is about 165 kilometres and this distance is - also in gravel-track-speed - after 2-1/2 hours comfortably driven. Leave the centre of Windhoek on the C26 in western direction. Shortly after leaving Windhoek you cross the copper-mountain-pass(Kupferberg Pass) and the farm Amani (left hand side). After approximately 30 kilometres drive left and still follow the C 26 in direction Walvis Bay/Gamsberg-pass. After crossing the Gamsberg-pass (please drive carefully, especially when the gravel road is wet, or it is raining), it still requires about 30 Minutes, then you have reached Rooisand Desert Ranch.
