The grassy campsites are on the bank of the Quaggaskloof dam with sand beaches in the summer occasionally. Booking is essential. Very clean ablution facilities. Also note that the bathrooms are unisex and parents are requested to accompany young children to the bathrooms at all times. It is also advisable to bring your own fresh water for drinking as water used around Quaggas is from the dam.
Not many trees for shade, and in the hot summer months it can get very hot here, but the dam is a nice place to wallow and relax in. It gradually gets deeper, and is the perfect place for kids. Also very popular for watersports, like water-skiing. There are launching areas. Fishing also possible. There is also a club house on site, where ice, cooldrinks and wood can be purchased. Camping in a caravan is also allowed.
Please note due to popularity, Quaggaskloof is often fully booked, to avoid disappointment please book accommodation well in advance.
PLEASE NOTE: Non-members new and old (campers/day visitors) are not allowed to bring dogs, two wheelers or quad bikes onto the property. Please stick to the rules handed out at the gate on entry.
