Known as the kingdom of the Zulus, the KZN Midland are situated between Pietermaritzburg and the Drakenstein Mountains, filled with history little towns and villages, stretches of farmland and picturesque scenery. This is an area of diverse cultures, colour and great arts and crafts. It is also rich with water and beautiful waterfalls and lakes. The Northern parts are dominated by the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains. It is a great destination for adventurers with amazing hiking trail and game viewing and trout farms. There is also an abundance of pretty little coffee shops, Guest Houses and art galleries.
