Visitors using this trail must report to the Makkedaat Reception point first. The 10km 4x4 route offers overnight accommodation. It also offers spectacular views of the valley, upon closer inspection the indigenous plants will keep you spellbound. This 4x4 trail is not for the inexperienced or feint hearted driver as it is described as rocky and steep as one of the 4 km / one hour route climbs steeply up past one of the cave dwellings on the farm and rapidly becomes a Grade 4 to 5 as the tracks claws its way up the mountain at a gradient of 1:4. For safety reasons it must be driven in a clockwise direction and use of difflock is mandatory.
