DeMist Cottages and River Camp is situated in the amazing beautiful Gamtoos Valley and is well placed to be the perfect stopover either entering or exiting the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Baviaanskloof. But this is also a good break away from that long weekend or holiday. You will have a choice of accommodation from our two self-catering Cottages that sleep respectively 3 to 7 people each and in our off the grid type of campsite you can choose between normal camping or try one of our camping huts. The huts can sleep up to 4 pax. (you still need to bring everything you would have as for camping, except a mattress and tent)Activities include birdwatching, fishing, hiking, browsing through our succulent nursery, or just come and enjoy the peace and quiet of a farm break away.

Directions

From the N2 heading east, drive past Plettenberg Bay towards Humansdorp. Take the R330 turn-off and turn left. Follow the road and it will take you into Hankey. Turn left onto the R331 into town. Continue straight into Patensie. From the Food Zone Supermarket in Patensie, turn right as you enter the town, towards the Baviaanskloof. We are about 15 km from Patensie; look out for the sign on your right reading DeMist Cottages and River Camp. Or exiting the Baviaanskloof on the Patensie side you travel about 17 km once you left the gravel road, the big white sign will then be on your left.
