Botanical Garden Jardim Tundura (Botanical Gardens)

Tundura Gardens (Jardim Tundura) lies at the centre of Maputo. It was formerly called the Jardim de Vasco da Gama but the name was changed after independence and a statue of the country's first president was erected in the garden. The beautiful entrance of this botanical garden was designed in the 1880s by a British architect, Thomas Honney in the Neo-Manueline style.
