Malawi College of Forestry and Wildlife (MCFW is located a 13km North West of Dedza and was established in 1952. The college offers vocational training for wildlife and forestry. Upon completion the students are offered with certificates in wildlife management, certificates and diplomas in forestry while various short courses are also offered on a regular basis. Most of these courses were mainly being offered to government recruits and in service but due to the increased demands in forestry and wildlife training, new sectors were included like the NGOs, communities, private sectors and individuals.
