Tracks4Africa hosts many of these public telephone points on their GPS maps. Telkom, South Africa's largest communications telephone company, has installed a public telephone at this point, usually offering a reliable connection, at an affordable cost. Most of these phones can use coins, phonecards or Worldcall. Telephone directories in most cases are available in the phone booth. Phonecards and Worldcall can be purchased at most airports, post offices and retail outlets, and at many petrol stations. Look out for the Telkom logo. Note that in some cases these phone booths have been vandalised, and the phone will be out of order, and the telephone directory will probably be missing. Telkom do attend to these issues continuously.
