The Saddleback Pass lies on the R40, 12 km East of Barberton towards Bulembu in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa. The road winds upward, skirting the Barberton Nature Reserve, through the magnificent Barberton Mountainland. It is tarred and in good condition (2 Sept 2011) with views of the De Kaap Valley from various points. There are a number of safe stopping points for sight seeing. The Pass lies in one of the most beautiful areas in the Country and should not be missed by travellers to this area.
