Situated in Golela right on the Swazi border. The camp is next to the top gate of the Pongola game reserve. A Wild and Rhino card can get you access to the reserve. Not a big five but a big four reserve. Fantastic birding because of the wide range of habitats. Large groups of rhinos can be spotted. Tiger fishing from a boat or the side is excellent. The camp has excellent ablution facilities, grassed sites and enough space on the site to park a boat and trailer. A small shop on site provided essentials. Be warned of noisy anglers partying at night. It's a better option to stay in the first half of the camp. Access to the park, if staying in the camp is by means of a pass provided by the club. Pongola game reserve also has rustic camping sites with clean ablutions spread around the sites that are positioned far from each other. Hot water is available at some of the ablution blocks. Sodwana Angling club would be an ideal stop off prior to entering Swaziland.
