The cave is located outside of the Matobo National Park in the Silozwe rural area. Along the way you will see villages and communities amongst the granite hills. It must be noted that the cave is quite a long drive and once in the car park, it will be a steep and strenuous 20 to 30 minutes to climb to the top. Reaching the cave does require a certain level of fitness. The cave lies on top of a massive granite dome that you will see from a long way off. The mountain on which the cave lies is unique, even amongst the other hills in the area.
The most beautiful of all the caves around here. More paintings than the others. Big and not so touristy. Beware of Black Mamba’s and Puff Adders. Follow the track behind the Heritage sign. Take enough water!

“Quite a fascinating place to visit and share cultural values with the community in a very quiet place with game sounds in the back ground as it is situated behind the Matopos national parks. The granite environment is so rich with geographical and local history that you don't have to miss on your visit to matopos as it is worth a granite drive through.” - Engelbert Karombo, 2022/01/28
