The Delta Belle Houseboat is moored in the Panhandle region of the Okavango Delta on the banks of the Okavango River in the small village of Shakawe, which is nestled in Ngamiland's North western corner in Botswana. It has 4 en-suite cabins and accommodates 8 people.
The Delta Belle is ideal for small groups and individuals interested in an Okavango River Safari. Transfers to and from Shakawe Airport and Delta Belle Houseboat are by road and takes approximately 10 minutes. We will try to accommodate reasonable requests for an early check-in or late departure but this cannot be guaranteed. Guests can only arrive on the day of the houseboat's departure.
Rates Include: Transfers to and from Shakawe Airport and Delta Belle Houseboat; Accommodation and all meals; Mineral water, teas and coffee; All water-based game viewing and bird watching activities; A land-based Crocodile Farm tour; Community visits as requested; Tiger & Bream fishing (Season 01 March till 31 December); Fishing licences; Fuel for the Delta Belle Houseboat and tender boat. Rates Exclude: Alcoholic beverages & soft drinks (Bar account must be settled by guests prior to disembarkment); Additional transfers; Fishing Equipment (Guests supply own fishing equipment); Air Fares; Visa Fees; Gratuities. Child Policy: There is no age limit, but due to the nature of the boat, it is not advisable to bring babies and toddlers on board. Any children on board are the parent's responsibility. A cabin can practically only accommodate two persons.
There are no charges for children between 0 - 6 years. Children 7 - 16 years enjoy a 20% reduction off the regular rate, whether unaccompanied or accompanied by an adult or another child in their own cabin. Children 16 years and older are considered adults and will therefore require a cabin of their own at the regular rate. Group booking policy: Any group reserving 4 cabins, for 2 days or more qualifies for a discount of 10% on the regular rate.
The houseboat can also be used as a bed and breakfast facility, whereby it stays stationery at the mooring facility in Shakawe.

By road: Tar road - Maun / Shakawe (378km); Tar road - Ghanzi / Shakawe (558km); Tar road - Kasane / Maun / Shakawe (999km); Tar road - Gaborone / Maun / Shakawe (1,312km); Tar road - Mohembo Border Post / Shakawe (13km). By Air: Air Botswana is the only Operator with direct flights from OT International (JHB) to Maun (BW). Various Air Charter Companies based in Maun fly to Shakawe Airport. Transfers to and from Shakawe Airport and Houseboat are by road and takes approximately 10 min.
