With vines to one side and a Kranz to the other, Calitzdorp Station offers the traveller an idyllic space to rest, and then venture forth to explore the surrounding area.
With campsites with electricity, water and braai(wood R20 per bag) spots; a space for backpackers; safari tents with beds and white linen; modern ablution facilities; a campers/backpackers kitchen; meals on request (and amazing Nespresso coffee); and an opportunity to sleep over in a quaint, original railway house, the Station offers accommodation to suit all pockets.
Caravans, campers and tents accommodated. It also has the facilities for hosting country functions, having been the choice venue for film shoots, weddings, weekend workshops, and the local Port Wine Festival. After a visit to one of the many local attractions, enjoy the beauty of the sunsets while sipping port with your hosts, Cheryl and Michael, and after gazing at a star filled night sky, sink into sleep, with the sound of the resident owl softly calling.
