Green Fountain Farm Resort Self-Catering

The Green Fountain Farm Resort includes 22 up-market, self catering and fully equipped villas. Set in a park-like environment this new caravan resort also offers camping which sets itself apart from most resorts by providing private bathrooms with separate showers and baths for each of the 48 extra-large grassed stands. Two of the bathrooms have wheelchair-friendly facilities. The resort offers caravaners a large swimming pool as well as a fabulous entertainment area with lapa, table tennis and pool table. Green Fountain Farm Resort is situated 7km outside of Port Alfred on the R72 coastal road leading towards East London. Just 130km from East London and 150km from Port Elizabeth and 62km from Grahamstown. When traveling from Port Elizabeth, you will pass beautiful towns such as Alexandria, Bushmans River Mouth, Kenton-O-Sea and Port Alfred. When traveling from East London you will pass well know places like the Mpekweni Beach Resort, Fish River Sun Hotel & Country Club Resort and Kleinemonde, just before reaching Green Fountain 7km before Port Alfred. Should you be traveling from Grahamstown, you will drive through Bathurst, one of the local tourist attractions, where you will find the Big Pineapple and where you can visit one of the oldest hotels in the area, The Pig and Whistle Hotel, dating back to the 1800’s, before you come to Port Alfred and the R72 turn off towards East London and Green Fountain Farm Resort.

This is not just a beach, but a long stretch of sand where you can have fun in the sun. Green Fountain Farm Resort is only one or two minutes drive from Riet River. This wide and vast beach is ideal if you want to stroll, unhindered for hours on end. Just a short drive further and you are on the beach of Kleinemonde. This beach is very child friendly and also has a lovely lagoon.

For the nature lovers; only 1hr and 15min drive form Green Fountain Farm Resort is the jewel of Sanparks – The Addo Elephant Park. Although there are many elephants, this is definitely not all that you will see. It is home to the big 5 and more. It is well known for the Addo buffalo and the abundant Spek-boom makes it an ideal home for the most beautiful antelope in Africa, the Kudu. Within easy driving distance you will find many more private reserves.
