Category: Camping :: Lodge Camp

Booking

This is a great eco-friendly campsite, and the only lodge and campsite on the Namibian side of the Chobe river in this area. There are only 4 sites which sleeps a max 6 people per campsite, each with it's own ablution, thatched lapa and kitchen sink. Electricity and geysers for hot water is available. There is also a large campsite for big groups.

Reportedly, in May 2016 there were no electrical points at the campsites. Wood is supplied and they also light the 'donkeys' for hot water for your shower.

Wood is supplied and you can buy ice from the lodge. Campers may use all facilities at the lodge, like having meals and drinks or taking a boat cruise.

A boat cruise on the Chobe, game viewing Chobe National Park, is a must. There were no other boats of any other lodges, like the busy area in and around Kasane.

Reservations mandatory.

“The former campsites are not operational, due to annual flooding during the inundation from Angola. Four new sites were erected next to the lodge tents. There are 4 sites , each with it's own thatched lapa, with kitchen sinks, plus shower and toilet. In May 2021 the water was very high and the boat trip along the Chobe NP very awarding. Plenty of game and water birds were to be seen everywhere.” - Mietsie Visser, 2021/05/28

“This is a great campsite. There are only 8 sites, each with it's own ablution, under shady Ana Trees right on the Chobe River. There is also a large campsite at the lodge for big groups. Campers may use all facilities at the lodge. A boat cruise on the Chobe, gameviewing Chobe National Park, is a must. There were no other boats of any other lodges, like the busy area in and around Kasane.” - Mietsie Visser, 2016/05/23
