NG28 concession is an extension of the Moremi Game Reserve into the Okavango Delta's northern wetlands, an area including Mombo, Xigera and Chief's Camp.Moremi is a game reserve, park fees must be paid. These are included in the cost of staying at a lodge and the administration will be dealt with by the lodge operator. Self drive visitors must however pay the park fees in advance.

Camping is only allowed in the designated campsites, driving off road is strictly forbidden and the speed limit if 40km/hr. Although NG 28 is a private concession, its privileged position in the Moremi Game Reserve means that night game drives are not allowed.

PARK FEES:
Park fees are still payable to the Department of Wildlife and National Parks, and can be paid at North Gate or South Gate in cash (BWP only) or by Visa or Master Card in Maun or Kasane at the DWNP offices.

ROAD INFO:
The roads in Moremi are 4WD tracks, usually sandy and often under water when the Delta floods between May and October. Two-wheel-drive vehicles should not attempt to drive these roads.

Your entry fees into Moremi is BWP270 per person per day, and BWP75 per vehicle - the cost is the same whether you pay daily or for a few days, you just save the admin! It may be possible to ask for a “multi day” pass if you are not staying in the park.
You can only pay cash at the entry gate in Botswana Pula, so be sure to take the right amount in cash (BWP). (Info updated 2022).
