The hiking Trails at Rietfontein nature reserve consists of a beautiful 2.5km circular walking trail. This is a 2 hour long mini hike relatively easy. There are two entrance gates to the reserve, the main entrance at 138 Holkam Road and the FreeMe entrance just a little further down the road. Entrance is free. No open fires or dogs are allowed in the reserve. The Reserve is managed by Johannesburg City Parks and the volunteer body, Friends of Rietfontein who holds guided walks and events.
