South African Air force Museum (Cape Town) main focus was on the preservation of military equipment which were used from the second world war onwards. The first air force museum in South Africa was established in Johannesburg during 1942. Today there are three branches in South Africa in Cape town, Port Elizabeth and Pretoria. Aims to collect, preserve and restore heritage and tradition of the military aviation, educate and for research purposes purporting to the history and tradition of SAAF.
