Situated in the picturesque Vleiland Valley - on the R323 connecting Lainsburg (N1) with the 62 via Sewijkspoort - this is the perfect weekend getaway or overnight stay. Private campsites and a self-catering cottage in a beautifully restored old farmhouse nestled at the foot of the Klein Swartberg mountains in the Karoo.
There are three separate campsites under the shade of trees, each with its own showers, flush toilets and large barbecue areas. Each campsite is uniquely located and quite far from the other campsites. Each campground has its own "secret" trail that leads to a seasonal river, as well as private beaches and rock pools where you can enjoy the summer heat (rain beckoning), or cool off in the swimming pool at "The Overlander" bar.
Basic camping equipment - tents, stretchers, mattresses, chairs, lamps and tables - can be rented. We will set up your camp at no extra cost. Braai wood, ice, meat, farm bread, eggs and other essentials are available. Enjoy an ice-cold beer in The Overlander Bar or one of our legendary wood-fired pizzas (available Saturday night or any other day if booked in advance for a group of 8 or more). Other dishes available on request, if it is booked in advance. Camping and 4x4 caravans only. Close to nature, very tranquil, no pollution, safe and secure.
