Located in the picturesque Vleiland valley - on the R323 linking Laingsburg (N1) to Route 62 via Seweweekspoort - this is a perfect weekend getaway or overnight stop. Private campsites and a self-catering cottage in a beautifully restored old farmhouse, situated at the foot of the Klein Swartberg mountains in the Karoo. Three individual campsites under shady trees, each with private shower, flush toilet and a large braai area. Each site is in a unique setting and spaced well apart from the others. Each campsite has its own ‘secret’ path to the seasonal river, and a private beach or rock pool where you can enjoy a dip in the heat of summer (if the rains have been kind). Alternatively, you can cool off in the pool at our bar, The Overlander. Basic camping gear - tents, stretchers, mattresses, chairs, lamps and tables – available for hire. We set up camp for you at no extra charge. Braai wood, ice, meat, farm bread, eggs and other essentials available. Enjoy an ice-cold beer at The Overlander bar or one of our legendary wood-fired pizzas (available on Saturday nights, or any other day if booked in advance for a group of 8 or more). Other meals available on request if booked in advance. Camping and 4X4 caravans only. Close to nature, very tranquil, no pollution, safe and secure.
