Our self-catering Log Home may be rustic but it has everything that you need for your break away, including a jacuzzi. It can sleep up to 8 people, with two double en-suite bedrooms downstairs and two twin bedrooms upstairs.There are 2 bathrooms, each with a shower and bath. One of the bathrooms is a private en-suite to the one double bedroom, and the other bathroom can be used as a private en-suite, or close the inter-linking door and it can be the communal bathroom.

Bedding and Linen is supplied. Please bring your own toiletries and towels. The kitchen comes equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave, 2 plate stove with small oven, and all the pots, pans, crockery and cutlery that you need.

DIRECTION:
N2 from Cape Town/Caledon/Riviersonderend/Swellendam:
9km from Swellendam. Driving on the N2, you will pass over the Breede River and see the white town sign-board "Swellendam". Continue driving on the N2, past Swellendam West Entrance and CBD Entrance. Past Swellendam East Entrance. (7.5km to Sparrebosch turnoff), Past "Rolandale Restaurant and Farmstall" on your left. (1.5km to Sparrebosch turnoff), Pass over the Buffeljags River. Turn left at the "Sparrebosch" turnoff. Drive approximately 400m on tar road, then 1.3km on dirt road (keep right at the fork). Turn Left at "Umshanti" sign, then IMMEDIATELY right at the "Buffalo Creek" Entrance (Big Wooden Arch). You will see the log home 200m in front of you. (first log home you see).

N2 from PE/George/Mossel Bay/Riversdale:
Pass the Suurbraak turnoff on your right, Pass BP Buffeljags on your left, turn right at the "Sparrebosch" turnoff. Drive approximately 400m on tar road, then 1.3km on dirt road (Keep right at fork). Turn Left at "Umshanti" sign, then IMMEDIATELY right at the "Buffalo Creek" Entrance (Big Wooden Arch). You will see the log home 200m in front of you. (first log home you see).

N1/R60 from Cape Town/Worcester/Robertson/ Ashton:
Continue on the R60 until it meets the N2. Turn left onto the N2. Continue driving on the N2, past the Swellendam CBD Entrance. Past Swellendam East Entrance. (7.5km to Sparrebosch turnoff). Past "Rolandale Restaurant and Farmstall" on your left. (1.5km to Sparrebosch turnoff), pass over the Buffeljags River. Turn left at the "Sparrebosch" turnoff. Drive approximately 400m on tar road, then 1.3km on dirt road (Keep right at fork). Turn Left at "Umshanti" sign, then IMMEDIATELY right at the "Buffalo Creek" Entrance (Big Wooden Arch). The Buffeljags Valley, situated 11km East of Swellendam, is a farming community which varies from Dairy, Fruit Farming, to small holdings. A short drive from Witsand, Barrydale, Montagu and Ashton.

ATTRACTIONS:
The main attraction in the area is the Buffeljags Dam, only 500m away from A Log Home. Activities such as boat trips, hiking, kloofing and mountain biking can be done on your doorstep.
