Directions

From Polokwane:
Take the N1 motorway from Johannesburg to Polokwane. Approaching Polokwane on the N1, just after the Shell Ultra, the road separates into two and there is a sign "Tzaneen 600mts." Slow down, as the turn is very sharp left onto the Tzaneen bypass. Pass through two 4-way stops before reaching the R71 coming from Polokwane and turn right to head towards Tzaneen. DO NOT GO DIRECTLY ACROSS the road as you will end up in Duiwelskloof.
If you miss the Tzaneen bypass, proceed directly to and through Polokwane and you will be directed to the R71 - Tzaneen.
Proceed on the R71 for approximately 57 km. And after passing Zion Christian City, Moria and going up and down a winding mountain pass, you will come to the village of Haenertsburg. Just past the village is a signboard giving direction to Tzaneen. Make sure that you continue on the R71 (via Magoebaskloof). DO NOT TURN RIGHT at the bridge (via Georges Valley). Travel 4.0 km. from Haenertsburg STOP street and turn left on to a sand road which should be marked "Cheerio" and "L" Road. From Tzaneen, the "Cheerio" sign is 3kms after the Magoebaskloof hotel. Follow the signs to Cheerio Farm. From this point, you carry on straight on the sand road for 1,7km where you will reach a L/M road fork. Keep LEFT and then straight for another 0,3km to Cheerio wrought iron gate. From here another 0,5km where you turn LEFT into L4.1 (NOT L4.2) Cheerio Trout Fishing Resort; 6,5km in total from Haenertsburg Stop street. Drive through the gate, keeping left to Reception.

From Tzaneen:
Take the R71 from Tzaneen to Polokwane (via Magoebaskloof NOT Georges Valley). Once you have driven the winding road up the kloof, you will pass the Orion Magoebaskloof Hotel on your left-hand side. The "Cheerio" sign is 3 km after the Magoebaskloof hotel. Turn right onto the sand road clearly marked "Cheerio" and "L Road". Follow the signs for Cheerio Trout Fishing and Holiday Resort.
