Elandela Private Game Lodge is perfectly situated in the wildlife rich, riverine bush of the Klaserie River, inside the huge Elandela Private Game Reserve. Elandela boasts spectacular sunset views of the nearby Blyde River Canyon and Drakensberg Mountains! Easy access to your luxurious and comfortable haven in true African Wilderness through neighbouring Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport or by tarred road up to our main gate.

Designed with your privacy and comfort in mind, our 14 luxurious rooms all offer fully equipped en suite bathrooms, air-conditioners, fans, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryers, fully stocked mini bars, safety deposit boxes and bug repeller. All rooms have a laundry bag as part of a highly efficient 24 hour laundry service. The superior quality linen has been embroidered specifically for Elandela Lodge. Our hallmark is cleanliness and this will be most apparent in your room.

You are most welcome to bring your laptop along to communicate with your friends back home via our WIFI internet connection service. This, as well as the cell phone services, has coverage in your room. Elandela Lodge boasts true Fine Dining sensory experiences in the Elegant Dining Room and traditional barbeques in the outside reed enclosure or Boma.

Our spacious lounge with its large wood and glass sliding doors has been designed to offer breathtaking views of the Blyde River Canyon and Drakensberg mountains in the distance and the lush forest of the Klaserie River down below. The sweeping views of the plains and the mountains are punctuated by the lake below, watering place for a myriad of graceful antelopes and home to a family of Hippos. The furniture and wooden statues are a selection of designs from across the African continent. Uniquely South African art works adorn the walls. Each item has been selected and placed with great care and attention to detail in order to create a harmony of African themes. This is the epitome of elegant luxury in the African bush! The bar in the lounge is stocked with a selection of beers and award winning South African wines! Enjoy a cold beer next to the inviting, sparkling pool! (May-16).

Elandela Private Game Lodge and Private Reserve is the tangible culmination of many decades of passionate and selfless dedication to ensuring that all those who tread these lands have a true taste of its ancient, but living, world of trees and plants and wild animals. The present guardians of this special place are Rocco and Yvonne Gioia. The fact that Rocco converses freely in Spanish makes it easier for our Spanish and South American guests to fully understand and immerse themselves in the wonders of our South African Bushveld. Under the guidance of Yvonne you will find a dedicated, yet friendly, compliment of staff members, labouring with the sole intention of making your stay here at Elandela a most pleasurable one.

ATTRACTIONS:
Included in your tariff are two daily Game Drives, or Walking Safaris, on Elandela Private Game Reserve. The early morning Game Drive leaves at 06h00 and returns at 09h15. The afternoon Game Drive leaves at 15h30 and returns at 19h15. Special accent on our magnificent separate White Lion and Tawny Lion prides! See our 2000 year old boabab tree! We do offer a short tour with a spotlight at dusk, at the end of the Safari, but if you want to explore the nocturnal wonder world of the leopard, aardvark, civet and bush baby we do offer a night safari after dinner at an additional cost. Included in the tariff of all guests staying two nights or longer, is a free afternoon visit to adjacent Kruger Park, in a closed vehicle. At an additional cost you can augment this afternoon visit to a full day visit to the Park. Guests can purchase full day tours to the Panorama Route or midday tours - after breakfast, before lunch - to various wildlife conservation projects or the Blyde River Canyon Lake. The best game viewing is from the sparkling pool overlooking the lake below the sitting room!
