Directions from Johannesburg: (About 6 to 7 hours’ drive)* N12 toward Witbank (Now called eMalahleni) * N4 toward Nelspruit, turn off onto R33 at Belfast * Turn onto R540 via Dullstroom and Lydenburg* R36 via Ohrigstad and the JG Strijdom tunnel * R527 via Hoedspruit * Drive through Hoedspruit until you reach a 4-way crossing* Turn right onto R40 towards White River * Drive about 6.5 KM, turn left at the “Timbavati Eastgate Airport” sign. Here you just sign in at the anti-poaching (Guernsey) gate. * Continue straight on the tarred road for about 18.2 KM until you reach the Klaserie/ Timbavati gate “Enkhulu Gate” (entrance fee per vehicle- please take enough cash) * About 8.3 KM after the gate you turn left at the “Baobab Ridge” sign onto the farm (the sign is on the right-hand side of the road). * Follow the dirt road, past the staff village of grey rondavels on your right, until you reach the lodge (signs lead the way). PLEASE NOTE: There are a few potholes between Dullstroom and Lydenburg so you’ll have to drive VERY slowly/ carefully!!
