The museum is situated in the beautiful town of Malmesbury in the western Cape, South Africa. The interesting history of this town and the town"s jewish history are captured in the Malmesbury Museum. The museum was once a synagogue which was built in 1911 by Max Goldman as the years gone buy and the jewish community grew the synagogue began to diminish. The son of Mr Goldman bought the synagogue and offer it to the town as a museum.
