Old coach house serving the Mail route circa 1896 - 1906. Owned by A. Zeederberg. During the era of travel by coach, this used to be one of the stopping points on the route. The dark red roof is a "house" that was on the property, used by the manager. The building next door is the barn, or warehouse used to house and service the coaches. With the advent of the rail system, coach travel fell away and the RMS used this as a stop over. Apparently goods would arrive on the trains and they would cart them to farms in their lorries
