Valley’s End Farm lies at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains and features a diverse landscape of grasslands, rolling hills, valleys, and ravines. The farm is home to a rich variety of natural habitats, including fynbos vegetation, native trees, and dense riverine thickets.
A variety of wild animals roam freely on the property, including several species of antelope, lynx, porcupines, honey badgers, and many others. The area also boasts rich birdlife, with frequent sightings of blue cranes, secretary birds, and numerous birds of prey.
Valley’s End Farm is proudly part of the Grootvadersbosch Nature Conservancy, contributing to local conservation efforts and the protection of native flora and fauna.
Each self-catering cottage at Valley’s End is equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, small stove, and oven. Guests will also find all the necessary cutlery, crockery, and cookware to prepare and enjoy meals. Every cottage has access to a private braai area, with firewood provided.
Hairdryers are available in all cottages, and beds come with electric blankets. Heaters are provided to ensure comfort during winter. Additional services, such as cleaning and laundry, are available upon request at the main house and incur extra charges. Laundry is done at the guest’s own risk. Please confirm requests with Pieter.
The cottages use septic tank systems that rely on bacterial action. To maintain proper function, do not dispose of sanitary products, nappies, or any inappropriate items in the toilet. Bins and bags are provided for waste disposal.
Pets are welcome under certain conditions: they must be kept under control at all times, are not allowed on furniture or beds, and must not disturb other guests. Owners are responsible for any damage to property or livestock caused by their pets.
In the event of a power outage, candles and matches are available in each unit.
Please note that the local water has a natural brown tint but is safe for washing. However, it is not recommended for drinking. Clean drinking and cooking water is provided. As water is scarce in the area, guests are asked to use it responsibly.
