Struben Dam Bird Sanctuary is managed by the Tshwane Municipality. The dam was upgraded in September 1984 to form part of the flood control system of the Waterkloof Spruit. The sanctuary vegetation is a mixture of grasslands, indigenous trees and shrubs. Ideal for hiking, bird watching and picnicking. Fire is not allowed in the sanctuary. (March-16).

Directions

Take the Atterbury turn-off from the N1 to the east. Turn left into Ingersol Road and then left into Ilkey road. Turn right into Innes Road. The main gate is on the right –hand side.
